UYSA Certified referees

BECOMING A REFEREE
To become a referee, you will need to take an online and in-person course through UYSA. We have local in-person courses a few times a year. Referees must be 13 years of age at the time of taking the in-person course.

Zero-Tolerance Policy
Two years ago, UYSA started the Zero Tolerance Program in response to a referee shortage. At BE United, we fully support and enforce this policy on behalf of our referees. We recognize that we cannot play this beautiful game without them! We want our referees to be able to relax and enjoy their job!

Referee Appreciation Days
Once a season we recognize our referees and show them how much we appreciate all that they do! Our coaches and teams show our referees some "extra love" through fist bumps, treats, and extra thank yous.
